Three games, eleven days.
You’ve probably heard enough about it throughout the week in the media, but it is utterly unfair. And not even for our beloved Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, but for all teams across the NRL who face this difficulty.
However back to Manly, the boys have truly put in some gutsy efforts over the 11 days. Suffering countless injuries and a seemingly new team every week, they still have tried their hearts out and some have impressively stepped up to fill these spots.
Whilst the game against Souths wasn’t too pretty to watch, there were still some positives out of it, especially with Api Koroisau’s performance at halfback which gave massive hope to supporters for a replacement whilst Daly Cherry-Evans is out with injury.
Credit to Trent Barrett who let the boys have a well deserved three day rest before preparing to face the Warriors in New Zealand next weekend.
After flying across the ditch it is another five day turn around for the Sea Eagles where they take on the Parramatta Eels at Fortress Brookvale on Thursday night.
Whilst the challenge is proving to be extremely tiring on the boys’ bodies and mentality, being able to overcome this with a couple of wins will only make them stronger.
Please do everything you can to get to the Thursday game, the boys need our support and a full Brookvale Oval will be extremely appreciated! See you all there!
